Q & A

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

What Is Axe Throwing and does it count as Exercise?

Axe throwing is an increasingly popular sport that revolves around throwing Axes at targets. At our indoor facility, you decide if you want to compete or just throw for fun. Our dedicated staff will teach you on site how to throw safely and properly so you get the most out of your Axe-perience!

Axe throwing is a physical activity that requires the use of several major muscle groups, thereby providing a full-body workout. With each throw you will engage your shoulders, core, back and leg muscles. Axe Throwers benefit from axe throwing by achieving better coordination, agility, strength, and endurance. Axe throwing is also an effective way of alleviating anxiety by triggering the release of endorphins, which are natural mood lifters.

Is It Safe?

Is it safe? Axe-Solutely! Every guest receives one-on-one training and instructions before they ever handle an axe! We work hard to ensure the safety of all our guests, and we have increased the accessibility and safety of axe-throwing by teaching blind, deaf, old, young, and differently-abled guests how to throw our hatchets and nail the bullseye.

Is there an Age Requirement?

Children 7 and older are allowed to throw with guardian permission and adult supervision. All minors under 18 must be accompanied by an Adult that accepts and assumes full-liability responsibility for them.  ((Only exception is Leagues – Middle School & High School Students maybe dropped off, but done so at your own risk – we are not childcare providers and will not be held responsible if the child leaves the facility)). Please ensure that they are dropped off and picked-up on time, or this priviledge will be revoked.

What should I wear?

Closed-Toed Shoes are Required – No Exceptions.  No High Heels, No Open toed sandals. Other than that, we encourage you to dress comfortably, and avoid wearing baggy clothing and accessories.. Anyone wearing Flannel is Acceptionally Dressed in our Mind!

Will there be Training?

Our certified coaches will always demonstrate proper safety and axe throwing techniques. Coaches will then assist you during your first few throws, and will remain present throughout your experience providing tips, answering questions, and helping you to make adjustments so you can master the bullseye and killshot throws.
